Coaching Staff
About Our program
The Barrington Cheerleading program is comprised of two teams: JV and Varsity.  Our teams currently
have a combined 57 members who cheer for football, boys' soccer, boys' basketball and girls'
basketball.  A strong focus of our program is competitive cheerleading.  20 members from each team
compete during the winter season and our varsity team competes in the IHSA State Series.  In
February, 2009, our program achieved its highest honor to date, 3rd Place at the IHSA State Finals.  
In addition, we were nominated by the head judge in our division for an even greater honor, a SAWA
(Sport a Winning Attitude Award) for sportsmanship at the state finals.  We are working hard towards
achieving both honors again in 2010.

Coaching Staff
Laura Meehan, Head Coach
Ms. Meehan is a graduate of BHS and cheered for the Broncos for four years.  She was a co-ed
cheerleader at University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. She teaches sixth and eighth grade math
at Lake Zurich Middle School North.  The '09- '10 season is her 6th as head coach at BHS.  Ms.

Caroline Milne, Junior Varsity Coach
Mrs. Milne is a graduate of Augustana College and a Masters graduate from Roosevelt University.  
She teaches honors biology at BHS.  Mrs. Milne was a cheerleader at Elk Grove High School and was
a member of the Augustana all- girl cheerleading team.  The '09-'10 season is her 5th year coaching

Jason Pike, Tumbling Coach
Mr. Pike has been a gymnastics coach at BHS for 8 years.  He was an outstanding gymnast for the
Broncos, graduating in 2000.  The '09-'10 season is his 4th with the BHS cheerleading program.  Mr.
